After your breakfast, you will be picked up and transported to the Tarangire National Park, which is the sixth largest national park in Tanzania and is located in the Manyara region. The park is home to vast herds of elephants, as well as the distinctive baobab trees, which are sometimes referred to as the “Tree of Life” due to the mystical properties attached to them by some cultures. One of the main features of the park is the Tarangire River, which flows all year round and serves as the primary source of water for wildlife during the dry seasons. After breakfast, we will drive to  Serengeti National Park; the park is known for its incredible wildlife and stunning landscapes, with the annual migration of over 1.5 million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebras being a highlight from July to October. Witness the spectacle of natural selection as these animals navigate crocodile-infested waters. Enjoy game drives in these magnificent fields. In the evening, we will drive to the Central Serengeti Public Campsite for dinner and overnight stay. This is sure to be a memorable day on your Tanzania Budget Camping Safari with Njofu Expedition.

Two game drives are scheduled for this day of your Tanzania economical camping safari. The first one will take place in the early morning, just after your breakfast, allowing you to enjoy a sunrise game drive lasting 1-2 hours before returning to your camp for breakfast. After breakfast, you’ll pick up your lunch boxes and head out for the second game drive of the day, exploring the beautiful park until sunset. You’ll spend the third day of your Tanzania public camping site at Central Serengeti Camp Site, where you’ll have dinner and spend the night.

Before breakfast, depart from Serengeti with your lunch boxes and enjoy game drives on the way. You can also opt to visit Olduvai George for an additional fee of $35 per person before heading to Ngorongoro for a crater tour. We highly recommend visiting Olduvai George as it offers a unique experience and allows you to see the historical background and evidence of early human beings. This is an excellent addition to your Tanzania Camping Safari experience.

The Ngorongoro crater is home to over 20,000 different vertebrates, including approximately 20 black rhinoceroses, making it the best place in Tanzania to observe these incredible animals. Additionally, the entire floor of the crater has one of the highest densities of carnivores in the world. You will have game drives throughout the day and return to Simba Public Camp Site area for dinner and an overnight stay.

After having breakfast, we will proceed towards the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive with packed picnic lunch. This spectacular crater is home to around 32,000 wild animals, including the Big Five. You can spot buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, warthogs, baboons, elephants, hippos, cheetahs, flamingos, ostriches, and a small population of rare black rhinos. The Ngorongoro Crater is also famous for its stunning colors and dancing clouds that create an almost surreal experience. Its natural beauty has earned it a place among the World Seven Natural Wonders. You will continue the game drives in the Crater till late afternoon, after which you will be driven back to theTwiga Camp Site.

The next stop on your Tanzania Budget Camping Safari will be Manyara National Park, following breakfast. This park, famous for its tree-climbing lions, is the last stop on the Northern circuit. A large portion of the park is covered by the alkaline Manyara lake, which is home to a variety of water birds, including large flocks of flamingos. You will also have the chance to observe many other animals, including elephants, hippos, giraffes, buffaloes, elands, mongooses, and gazelles along the shores of the lake. After a fulfilling day of wildlife, bird, and tree watching, you will drive to Fanaka Camp Site for overnight.

The last destination on your Tanzania Budget Camping Safari will be Manyara National Park, following breakfast. This park, famous for its tree-climbing lions, is the last stop on the Northern circuit.
