This is one of the most unique areas where humans leave together in good harmony with the wildlife with no interferences or any negative impact on any side. According to the 1959 Ordinance, the main feature is the Ngorongoro crater and the vast open endless plains of Serengeti national park that inhabit over 2 million migratory animals along the Serengeti Mara ecosystem. The Ngorongoro Crater

is the largest intact and unfilled volcanic caldera in the world and is located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in northern Tanzania. The crater was formed around 2.5 million years ago, following a massive volcanic eruption that caused the volcano to collapse in on itself.

The crater is approximately 20 kilometers in diameter and its floor covers an area of about 260 square kilometers. It is surrounded by steep walls that rise up to 600 meters above the crater floor, creating a natural enclosure for a vast array of wildlife.

The Ngorongoro Crater is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including the “Big Five” (elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, and rhinos), as well as zebras, giraffes, hippos, and many species of antelopes. The crater is also home to a large population of flamingos, which can be seen wading in the shallow waters of the crater’s lake.

Visitors to the Ngorongoro Crater can take guided game drives into the crater, where they can view the wildlife up close. The crater is one of the few places in Tanzania where you can see the endangered black rhino in the wild. Visitors can also enjoy the stunning scenery of the crater and the surrounding conservation area.

Overall, the Ngorongoro Crater is a unique and breathtaking natural wonder that should be on every visitor’s list when traveling to Tanzania. Its diverse range of wildlife and stunning landscape make it a must-visit destination for any nature lover or wildlife enthusiast.
