Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire National Park
After your breakfast at your lodge in Arusha leave for Tarangire National Park. The driving is of 2:30 hours along northern highways and across the Masai steppe all the way to Tarangire gate. After check in start your first game drive right away. Tarangire is the fifth national park in Tanzania runs along Tarangire river which is the main water source in the entire park. Large herds of elephants, huge baobab trees and Tarangire river are the main highlights of this beautiful park at the base of the Great Rift Valley. You may expect to see a big number of elephant, zebra, bufallo, wildebeest, warthog, eland, hippos, impalas and many more. The rare species of Kudus, oryx and the ash stalling birds are inhabit in this park. Tarangire is also famous for bird watchers, over 400 birds species has been recorded which includes weavers, stallings and water birds. Late afternoon drive to Olea Africana lodge for dinner, campfire and overnight. Lunch and dinner included.
Day 2 Tarangire - Serengeti National Park
After breakfast at your lodge depart for Serengeti National park via Ngorongoro highlands & down to Malanja depression the drive will take 2:30 hours before arriving at Serengeti ( Nabi hills gate ) for check in and get ready to start your game drive in vast Serengeti plain where you will witness big cats Which includes lions, cheetahs, hyenas & Leopards. Herds of wildebeest migrations, buffalo, giraffes, warthog, eland will be all over the Serengeti plains. In the afternoon break for lunch in one of the picnic site or somewhere in the bush before embarking to your sunset game drive.
Late afternoon before or during sundown drive to Serengeti Heritage Tended Camp for dinner and overnight. All meals included.
Day 3: Full game in Serengeti National Park
On this days you will have a full game drive in Serengeti, leave the camp with packed breakfast box and lunch box for an early morning game drive in the mightier Serengeti Nationa park. Early morning gives you a chance to spot predators on the road as they try to avoid morning mist. Also you may see other predators coming back for hunting or a group of lion eating along the road. After, break fro breakfast somewhere in the bush before following the Great Wildebeest Migration if they are packed in Serengeti. In the afternoon break for lunch in one of the picnic site or somewhere in bush while watching animal actions. Late afternoon drive to the back to camp for dinner and overnight. All meals included.
Day 4: Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater
Early breakfast, around 6:00am leave Serengeti with enroute game drive to Ngorongoro conservation area and descent over 600 meters high walls into the crater floor for a wonderful game drive. Ngorongoro Crater was formed some millions years ago due to some internal forces under the earth crust which left 600 meters high walls under crater of about 12 milles diameter. Enough pasture and water attracts a big number of animals which includes herds of bufallo, elphant, zebra, wildebeest, eland, African elephant and the rare black rhinos. Predators like lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and a mysterious leopard can also been seen in this crater. After lunch and some rest you will visit Lake Magadi an enormous yet shallow soluble lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the primary elements of the hole. An enormous number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds can ordinarily be seen here.
Late afternoon drive to Rhino lodge at the crater rim for campfire and overnight. All meals included.
Day 5: Manyara National Park - Arusha
As early as 6:30 am After breakfast depart for Lake Manyara National Park for game drive. Which will be the last National Park game view, you will visit in the Northern circuit. Lake Manyara is a small but beautiful park in the northern Tanzania located at the base of the Great East African Rift Valley with lots of underwater streams that flows to the lake. Varied habitas in this park attracts a big number of animals which includes African elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest , hippos, warthog and others. Lake Manyara tree climbing lion and huge flocks of flamingos are the main highlights of this park.
Late afternoon back to Arusha for overninght ( own account) or drop off to Arusha or Kilimanjaro international airport for your flight to Zanzibar or back home. Breakfast and Lunch included.
