First day of your 6 Days Tanzania family Luxury safari
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our expert driver guide will warmly welcome you and pick you up. You will then be transferred to Mount Meru Hotel where you will spend the night on a Bed and Breakfast basis. During this time, our guide will give you a brief overview of your 6-day Tanzania Family Safari. Depending on the weather and time, you may also have the opportunity to see the magnificent views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru from the airport.

Day 2: Arusha Tarangire National Park
Destination : Tarangire National Park
Driving time from Arusha to Tarangire NP: 2 hours non-game drive.

Depart from your hotel after breakfast with packed lunch boxes to embark on a game drive at Tarangire National Park as part of your Tanzania Family Luxury Safari organized by Njofu Expedition. This park, situated in Manyara Region, is the 6th largest national park in Tanzania, covering an area of 2700 sq. kilometers. Tarangire is known for its large elephant herds, often called the “home of elephants”. It is also home to tree-climbing pythons, various poisonous snakes, and over 300 bird species. The park is adorned with Baobab trees, acacia trees, Kigelia African (Sausage Tree), and Fig trees that hold practically legendary powers for some cultures, hence it is also known as the “Trees of Life”. The park is named after the Tarangire River and Warthog. You will have lunch at picnic areas during your game viewing, and after completing your game drive in the evening, you will be driven to Maramboi Tented Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay on a full board basis.

Day 3: Tarangire - Serengeti National Park

After enjoying a delicious morning breakfast at your accommodation, get ready to embark on a thrilling journey as you set off for Serengeti National Park, the jewel of Tanzania, with packed lunch boxes in tow for the en-route game drive. As part of the Tanzania Family Luxury Safari, Serengeti National Park offers some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities in the world, with an incredible variety of animals, including the famous wildebeest and zebra migration, large elephant herds, towering giraffes, topis, elands, impalas, Thomson’s gazelles, and even black rhinos, all calling this vast wilderness their home. The Serengeti, derived from the Maasai language meaning “endless plains,” is indeed a breathtakingly expansive ecosystem in East Africa, and as a guest of Njofu Expedition, you’ll have the chance to experience it all. On the fourth day of your Tanzania Family Luxury Safari with Njofu Expedition, you will depart after breakfast for an entire day game drive inside the park. The Serengeti plain is known for its rock offshoot called Kopjes. These Kopjes were formed when the volcanoes of the Ngorongoro highlands erupted a while back, spewing debris over the southernmost third of the Serengeti and creating a rich and fertile soil that produces quick and painless grass when it rains. The Serengeti National Park is home to a staggering wildlife population and spectacular views, and is famous for the yearly migration of over 1.5 million wildebeest and north of 800 thousand zebras. Countless gazelles can also be seen, with mating occurring from May to June. Calves can be found at the western entrance of Serengeti and dropping, and in the southwest of Serengeti Ndutu. Lunch will be at the picnic area and after finishing your game viewing, you will drive back to your lodge for an overnight stay, dinner, and a beautiful sunset view.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro

After an early breakfast, you will depart for another game drive at Serengeti National Park, carrying picnic lunch boxes. You will visit the stunning rock formations called kopjes, which are home to lions, leopards, and cheetahs. These amazing animals can often be found resting on top of the kopjes in the Central Serengeti. Later in the evening, you will drive to Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge, located on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater, where you will have dinner and spend the night, marking the end of the fifth and final day of your Tanzania Family Luxury Safari with Njofu Expedition.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Visit - Arusha Town

After an early breakfast, you will embark on a drive to descend into the Ngorongoro Crater. This stunning natural wonder was formed when a massive volcano erupted and collapsed on itself millions of years ago. It is more than 600 meters (2000 feet) deep and covers an area of 260 square kilometers. As one of the three UNESCO World Heritage sites in Tanzania, the crater is a must-visit destination for any traveler. It is home to a vast array of wildlife, including over 25,000 large animals, over 20 black rhinoceros, more than 6,500 wildebeest, 4,000 zebras, and a large herd of elephants. The crater also boasts the densest population of lions, numbering over 60. After lunch, you will drive to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home, or to Arusha for overnight stay Mt Meru Arusha Hotel
