9 Days Kilimanjaro Climb Lemosho Route with Crater Overnight

The Lemosho route is thought to be the most beautiful path on Mount Kilimanjaro because it offers views from all sides of the mountain. At Njofu Expedition, we recommend Lemosho as a great choice for your climb because it is one of the newer routes. It is our favorite route because it is not too crowded, has beautiful views, and has a high success rate for getting to the top. Most people who climb Kilimanjaro do it via the Lemosho route, which gets great reviews from those who have done it. We at Njofu Expedition always tell our clients to take the Lemosho route. The climb starts at Londorossi Gate, which is 2360 meters above sea level. The way to get there is far to the west of the mountain. It then goes around Kilimanjaro to the south, passing through a beautiful rainforest where you can often see some of the most unique animals in the area. The path keeps going up to Shira Ridge, the third peak of the mountain.

About Kilimanjaro’s Crater Camp

Mount Kilimanjaro Crater Camp is not a route in and of itself. Instead, it is a challenging extension that can be added to any route. At Njofu Expedition, we emphasize that spending the night in the crater’s bowl is a great experience that only a few of the most daring climbers get to have. How long it will take depends on the route. Camping at the crater is a bit pricey because the park charges extra for it and the crew is paid extra as well.
